Grants

WHO MAY REQUEST FUNDS?

 

  • Typically, funding requests will originate from the school district’s professional staff.

  • Any citizen of ISD 192 may submit a funding request through a co-sponsoring arrangement with a school district representative.

 Guidelines for the Grant Requests

 

  • Innovative programs and activities that supplement and enhance the educational process are the primary focus of foundation funding.  Funding is available for early childhood – 12th grade programs only.

  • Other funding sources should be reviewed and considered before submitting funding requests.  Foundation funding is not intended to replace usual and customary public funding of ISD 192.

  • There are no dollar restrictions as to the amount of the request.

  • The number of participants served and the cost per participant will be important factors when determining the value and merit of the requests that also meet the criteria listed above.  

  • Collaboration with other staff / departments so that the grant can impact more students.

Grant Request

All completed applications should be returned no later than December 20, 2024 to be eligible for the 2025 Grants.

 APPROVAL PROCEDURES

​

  1. Individuals requesting funds should complete the attached funding request form and submit the request form to the building principal who, in turn, will forward it to the Superintendent.

  2. If the grant request involves technology (hardware, software, etc.), acquire appropriate approval from the Technology Department. This will indicate that the grant will be supported by our current infrastructure.

  3.  If we have a signature then it negates any conversation we need to have about the grant being supported by our current infrastructure.

  4. The Superintendent reviews each request to ensure compatibility with overall school district educational objectives.  All requests will be forwarded to the Farmington Area Education Foundation.

  5. The FAEF Chair, or their designee, will notify the requester as to the status of their request within one week following the monthly meeting at which grant requests are reviewed.
